The Gargoyle's Black Blades is a Twinblade in Elden Ring.

When to Use It

Late game. It is found around Mountaintops of the Giants, far enough in that it is an end-of-run weapon rather than something to build towards.

Upgrades

Ordinary Smithing Stones carry it all the way to +25, and because it is not a Somber weapon it will also hold a grease or a weapon buff, which is a damage source the unique blades simply do not have.

Build

Its scaling runs Str at C, Dex at E and Fai at D, so Str is the stat worth levelling, and you need Str 18, Dex 15 and Fai 22 before you can lift it. Any Ash of War and any affinity will sit on it, so its scaling can be re-cut towards whichever stat you are already levelling.

Notes

Bronze twinblade wielded by Valiant Gargoyles, mended with blackened corpse wax. Deals holy damage. Such is the mark of those who serve Maliketh, the Black Blade.

How to Get Gargoyle's Black Blades Guide
