Chief Bloodfiend is a dungeon boss in Elden Ring. It comes from the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
The Chief Bloodfiend is the giant leader of the bloodfiends, waiting at the end of Rivermouth Cave in the Gravesite Plain. He swings the severed arm of one of his kin as a club. His blows are delayed but leave long openings. He is weak to slash damage and to frost, poison and rot.
Lore
The Chief Bloodfiend is a gigantic, hunched brute with a heavy body. He swings a massive club made from an arm torn from the corpse of one of his own kin.
Long ago, a subjugated tribe found a twisted deity amid the ravages of war and became the bloodfiends. The Formless Mother, mother of truth, was their savior. The Chief Bloodfiend leads them, and his kin spill blood, even their own, in offering to her.

Attacks
- Opening plunge: he leaps in at the start, then swings three times quickly and once more after a delay. Two rolls to the left avoid the string.
- Jumping attacks: leaps that cover a wide area. Careful timing on the roll avoids them.
- Delayed club swings: slow blows with long recovery. Countering after each swing is safe.
- Blood spray: his club and skills inflict blood loss. Stanching Boluses help.
Tactics
- Bring Stanching Boluses to handle blood loss.
- Summon Black Knife Tiche to share his attention.
- Roll left from his opening plunge and the swings that follow.
- Counter after every attack, since each one has a long recovery.
- Use slash damage and frost, poison or rot.
