The Igon's Greatbow is a Greatbow in Elden Ring.

When to Use It

Shadow of the Erdtree. It is found around Jagged Peak in the expansion, which opens only once Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood are beaten.

Why Players Pick It

Shadow of the Erdtree. The only greatbow whose scaling ever leaves D: it reaches C Strength at +13 and ends at C Str / E Dex, 294 physical at +25. It is also the most flexible: it takes Through and Through, Rain of Arrows, or Igon's Drake Hunt, and Igon's Harpoon great arrows deal extra damage when fired from it. Reward for completing Igon's questline at the Foot of the Jagged Peak.

Upgrades

Ordinary Smithing Stones carry it all the way to +25, and because it is not a Somber weapon it will also hold a grease or a weapon buff, which is a damage source the unique blades simply do not have.

Build

Its scaling runs Str at D and Dex at E, so Str is the stat worth levelling, and you need Str 23 and Dex 16 before you can lift it. Any Ash of War and any affinity will sit on it, so its scaling can be re-cut towards whichever stat you are already levelling. It also enhances power of Igon's Harpoon by 15% on its own, with no infusion needed.
