The Staff of the Great Beyond is a Glintstone Staff in Elden Ring.

When to Use It

Shadow of the Erdtree. It is found around Land of Shadow in the expansion, which opens only once Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood are beaten.

Why Players Pick It

Shadow of the Erdtree. The only staff that casts incantations as well as sorceries, so a split Int/Fai character can run one catalyst for both schools. Local and put it at 25 Int / 25 Fai and 2.0 weight, the lightest staff in the game; note 's base table instead lists 27/27 and 2.5 weight.

Upgrades

Ordinary Smithing Stones carry it all the way to +25, and because it is not a Somber weapon it will also hold a grease or a weapon buff, which is a damage source the unique blades simply do not have.

Build

Its scaling runs Str at E, Int at D and Fai at D, so Int and Fai are the stats worth levelling, and you need Str 7, Int 25 and Fai 25 before you can lift it. Any Ash of War and any affinity will sit on it, so its scaling can be re-cut towards whichever stat you are already levelling. It also catalyst for casting both sorceries and incantations on its own, with no infusion needed.

How to Get Staff of the Great Beyond Guide

Trade the Remembrance of the Mother of Fingers, dropped by Metyr, Mother of Fingers, with Finger Reader Enia.
Alternatively, use one of the Wandering Mausoleums with a bell to duplicate one (can only obtain one per playthrough using either method).
