The Sacrificial Axe is a Axe in Elden Ring.

When to Use It

Early game. It is found around Weeping Peninsula, in the opening stretch of a run, so it is one of the first real upgrades you can carry.

Why Players Pick It

Recovers 4 FP on defeating an enemy, which is the class's only sustain mechanic and directly funds Ash of War spam. 128 base physical at 16 Str / 10 Dex. Dropped by the Weeping Peninsula Deathbird.

Upgrades

Ordinary Smithing Stones carry it all the way to +25, and because it is not a Somber weapon it will also hold a grease or a weapon buff, which is a damage source the unique blades simply do not have.

Build

Its scaling runs Str at D and Dex at D, so Str and Dex are the stats worth levelling, and you need Str 16 and Dex 10 before you can lift it. Any Ash of War and any affinity will sit on it, so its scaling can be re-cut towards whichever stat you are already levelling. It also 4 FP recovered upon defeating an enemy on its own, with no infusion needed.

How to Get Sacrificial Axe Guide

Received upon defeating the Deathbird located in the Weeping Peninsula.
It will appear over the cliffs by the wall north-northeast of Castle Morne at night.
Should the Golem Archer in the area still be alive, its arrows may help defeat the Deathbird.
