Ranni the Witch is a character in Elden Ring.
Ranni the Witch is a Carian princess and demigod whose questline is one of the longest in Elden Ring. She first meets the Tarnished at the Church of Elleh under the name Renna. At Ranni's Rise she takes the Tarnished into her service and sends them after a hidden treasure in Nokron. Finishing her questline unlocks the Age of the Stars ending.
Lore
Ranni lives inside a doll with four arms, and she wears the hat and robe of the Snow Witch. The doll was shaped after the snowy crone who once taught her cold sorcery in secret.
She is the daughter of Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon, and Radagon. The Two Fingers chose her as an Empyrean who might one day succeed Queen Marika, and they gave her Blaidd as her shadow.
Ranni refused that fate. She stole a fragment of the Rune of Death, and on the Night of Black Knives her own body was slain while Godwyn the Golden died in soul. Her burned body still lies atop the Divine Tower of Liurnia with half of the Cursemark of Death.
From Caria Manor she worked toward an order of her own, served by Blaidd, War Counselor Iji and Preceptor Seluvis. In the end she slew her Two Fingers and left for the night sky to bring about an age of stars and moon.
