The Hollow Cyclops is a boss of Enshrouded, found in Revelwood, the Nomad Highlands and the Kindlewastes. It is weak to blunt damage.
Hollow Cyclops Location
South of East Lapis, marked by the Collector quest The Kindlewastes Hollow Halls; needs the Kindlewastes Bone Key and a high Shroud Passage level, since parts of the dungeon are Shrouded. One Hollow Cyclops guards the second barrier. The final chamber holds two Hollow Cyclops, followed by a Fell Sicklescythe.
| Region | Location | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Revelwood | Revelwood Hollow Halls (final boss room) | - |
| Nomad Highlands | Nomad Highlands Hollow Halls (second barrier chamber and final barrier chamber) | - |
| Kindlewastes | Kindlewastes Hollow Halls (second barrier and final chamber) | - |
Abilities
| Ability | Effect | Counter |
|---|---|---|
| Thrust | Summons a dagger in each hand and lunges with a quick string of three aimed stabs. | A shield blocks the stabs. Guides disagree on dodging: one says a roll will not avoid them, another says rolling away works. |
| Cleave | Summons a long sword and swings in wide horizontal arcs, two sweeps in a row. The blade is long enough to catch players at what feels like range. | Jump over the first sweep (a roll will not clear it), then roll through the second. Neither can be blocked. |
| Hollow Breath | Deals damage in a zone directly in front of the boss. | Stay off its front. |
| Hollow Eruption | It raises an arm and the ground around it glows green; after a short cast everyone inside the marked area is thrown high into the air. The launch itself does little or no damage, but the fall can, and in the Revelwood arena it can drop you into poison patches. | Leave the green area before it goes off. If you are launched, open the glider and land safely, for example on a pillar edge or near a spawner you want to destroy. |
| Summon adds | Skeletons and wights pour into the arena during the fight, from about half of its health in the Revelwood fight. | Kill them quickly, ideally after pulling them away from the boss; area damage or explosives help. |
Resistances and Weaknesses
Weaknesses: Blunt damage.
How to Beat the Hollow Cyclops
- Bring healing (potions, bandages, food), stat food buffs, spare weapons, a grappling hook, explosives and the right Bone Key. Eat your buffs just before entering the arena.
- The Hollow Halls are built for groups; a party makes the Cyclops fights much easier, though a well-geared solo player can finish them.
- Destroy Reanimators (glowing bone piles) first with explosives or an axe, because they spawn Hollow endlessly.
- Pick a range and keep it: either fight from far away, or stay glued to its back and legs. The middle distance is where its weapon attacks land.
- Read the summoned weapon: club means dodge, long sword means jump then roll, twin daggers mean raise your shield.
- Get out of the green circle before Hollow Eruption fires, and glide if you are thrown. After the eruption the boss needs a moment to recover, which is a window to attack or clear adds.
- Use blunt weapons where possible; Hollow weapons from the Hollow Halls also deal extra damage to Hollow enemies.
- In the Nomad Highlands side rooms, kite the boss and its adds through the fireballs and spike traps so the room does damage for you.

| Giant Bones | 4-8 |
The Hollow Cyclops Head is needed by the Collector for the Ectoplasm Press (1 head, 120 Ectoplasm Fragment, 5 Copper Bars, 10 Charcoal, 4 Stone, 4 Wood Logs), which finishes the quest Ectoplasm Press For The Collector and unlocks more crafting. Lore
Cyclops once lived on the mountaintops of the Albaneve Summits. They were cursed by the Flame and banished to the Hollow Halls during the reign of King Gormander. The Cyclops went down into the Halls hoping to escape their fate, but the curse caught them anyway. Twisted by it, the Hollow Cyclops now haunt the deepest levels as the final guardians. The head item text says its single eye kept rolling in its socket until it finally fell out.
Notes
- It belongs to the Hollow faction.
- Giant Bones are used for the Nomad Highlands Bone Key (100 Ectoplasm Fragment, 1 Giant Bones), the Kindlewastes Bone Key (100 Ectoplasm Shard, 2 Giant Bones), Giant Bone Arrows, Bone Channel II and the Crypt Throne.
- Quest gates: Ectoplasm Press For The Collector needs level 12; The Nomad Highlands Hollow Halls needs level 17; The Kindlewastes Hollow Halls needs Shroud Passage level 5.
- The Hollow Cyclops reappear, so the Hollow Halls can be farmed again for heads and Giant Bones.
- After the Revelwood kill, the barrier lifts and the exit portal is directly beneath it.
