One of the best weapons to obtain early is the Steel Battleaxe of Fiery Souls. This is a Two-handed weapon in The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim. At first glance this may appear to only be an enchanted Steel Battleaxe, but its unique enchantment makes it very powerful early on. The Fiery Soul Trap enchantment, which can be learnt by disenchanting the weapon.

Weapon Enchantment

The Steel Battleaxe of Fiery Souls enchantment traps the targets soul within any soulgems in your inventory, if they die within 5 seconds. It also sets the target on Fire for 10 points of damage, if you have two perk points invested into the Destruction Skill Perk Augmented Flames it will instead do 15 fire damage per hit.

The weapons enchantment can be used 90 times before it must be recharged with a soul gem.

The Steel Battleaxe of Fiery Souls can be disenchanted to learn the unique Fiery Soul Trap enchantment, this can then be applied to another weapon at a Altar of Enchanting.
