A Stone Axe is all you need to fell a beech, so Beech Seeds are usually the first tree seeds a new Viking picks up. They drop from the full grown beeches that fill the Meadows.
Farming
Each seed gives one plant, and it goes straight into bare ground with no tilling. Leave four to six metres clear around it, or the sapling will not grow.

How to Get It
Fell a large beech with any axe, even a stone one, and seeds drop alongside the wood about two thirds of the time. The small beech shrubs can be flattened bare handed, but they only drop wood, so go for the full grown trees. Plant the seeds with a Cultivator in Meadows, Black Forest or Plains soil. Most players use them to grow a wood farm within walking distance of their base.
