Push an Acorn into open ground with a Cultivator and an Oak will be standing there in a few days. Once the Oaks near your base have been felled, that is the only way to keep Finewood coming. You gather Acorns from Oak trees in the Meadows.
Farming
It is a single plant that grows straight in bare, untilled ground. Put the seed down and leave four to six metres clear around it, or the sapling will not take.

How to Get It
Acorns fall from Oak trees, and stone or flint axes will not bring an Oak down. You need at least a Bronze Axe, which puts Acorns behind copper, tin and a Forge. Oaks stand alone in the Meadows and along the edges of the Black Forest. They are far rarer than Beech or Birch, so finding one takes longer than cutting it. Chop the trunk and the Acorns drop along with the Finewood, then cut the fallen log where it lies for the rest. Replanted seeds need clear ground around them, or the sapling will not take.
