Flint breaks to an edge that stone never gives, and it lies loose in the gravel wherever rivers and the Ocean meet the Meadows.
How to Get It
Walk the waterline and pick the stones up by hand. It takes no tool, no fight and nothing to unlock first, which makes Flint the earliest real upgrade in the game. It respawns on the same beaches after a few hours, so a shore near your first base keeps you supplied for as long as you need. Tanning Racks in a Fuling Village also break apart into Flint, though anyone able to survive that has long stopped counting it.
