Greydwarf Eyes pay for every portal you will ever build. They are the milky eyeballs cut out of the Greydwarves that infest the Black Forest.
How to Get It
Ordinary Greydwarves, Brutes and Shamans all drop eyes, so all you need to farm them is a weapon you can swing and the nerve to enter the Black Forest. Greydwarf nests spawn them at all hours and raids bring them out of the dark. That makes a nest the steadiest place to farm eyes, though it is also where the Greydwarves arrive three at a time. In practice a stack builds up on its own while you clear forest for copper. Eyes are light and go through portals, so there is no reason to leave any on the ground.
