The Freeze Gland is cut from the Drakes that hang above the snowfields of the Mountain, and it holds its cold long after the creature is dead.

How to Get It

Drakes stay in the air over the high peaks and spit ice at anything crossing open snow, so bring a bow and pick your ground rather than trying to close in. The Mountain itself is the real gate: go up without wolf gear or a Frost Resistance Mead and the cold will finish you before the Drakes do. Nearly every Drake you kill drops a gland, so one careful sweep along a high ridge usually covers a whole armour or arrow project.
