Padded Armor
The set gives 79 armour across 4 pieces. It is the best thing to wear into the Plains.
It needs Iron and Linen Thread, so it is gated on a Windmill and a Spinning Wheel rather than on a new metal. The -10% movement is the standard tax for heavy armour.
Nothing in it resists frost, which makes it the wrong set for the Mountain despite the armour. Swap the Linen Cape for a Lox Cape or a Wolf Fur Cape and the problem goes away.
How to Craft
You craft every piece at a level 1 to 2 Forge and a level 2 Workbench from:
- 30x Iron: smelted from Scrap Iron in a Smelter.
- 75x Linen Thread: spun from Flax at a Spinning Wheel.
- 1x Silver: smelted from Silver Ore in a Smelter.

When to Use It
This is mid-game gear from the Plains tier, the biome after Moder. Its Linen Thread is spun from Plains Flax, and its Iron comes from the Swamp.
