Robes of the Caller are the chest piece of the Caller Set. They give 22 armour, 60% more eitr regeneration and frost resistance against the cold of the Deep North, at the cost of 2% of your movement speed.
How to Craft
They are finished in a frost foundry from:
- 1x Cast: Robes of the Caller: poured at a level 3 galdr table from bloodgold, moose hide, nornathread and its mould.
- 5x Liquid Frost: frozen down from ice in a frigid kiln.

Mould
The Mould: Robes of the Caller drops in the Deep North:
- Dropped by hexen.
When to Use It
This is end game armour. To progress through the Deep North you need Fader dead.
Upgrades
You can upgrade them twice at the galdr table. Each step needs the station one level higher than the last, and costs the per-level amount, then twice that. Quality 4, at four times the per-level amount, would need a level 6 galdr table, one above the table's maximum of 5, so that row is out of reach.

Properties
The Caller set is the mage armour of the north, with 22 armour a piece and eitr regeneration on every piece: 40% from the headdress and 60% each from the robes and trousers, 160% for the full set. Its casts are poured at a level 3 galdr table, and you repair and upgrade the pieces there too. The galdr table only goes up to level 5, so they stop at quality 3.
As in the Mountains, all weather in the Deep North counts as freezing, day and night. Outdoors and away from a fire you are Freezing: health stops regenerating, stamina and eitr regenerate 60% slower, and you take a point of damage every second. Near a fire or under a roof you are only Cold. Any frost resistance stops both, and the robes are the Caller piece that carries it.
Its mould drops from hexen one time in twenty. Hexen fly the halls of Mörkhalla and come with every jotun invasion, and they also drop the nornathread the robes are woven from.
The robes give 22 armour at quality 1 and 26 at quality 3. They weigh 5 and have 1000 durability, or 1400 at quality 3.
Quality 4 would need a level 6 galdr table, one above its maximum of 5, so in practice the robes stop at quality 3.
Crafting them from scratch and taking them to quality 3 costs 15 bloodgold, 15 moose hide and 14 nornathread, plus a mould and 5 liquid frost.
The Deep North pieces for this slot are the Protector breastplate with 44 armour and 5 weight, the Vanguard chestpiece with 34 armour and 5 weight, and the Caller robes with 22 armour and 5 weight at -2% movement. All three weigh the same, so you are choosing between the Protector's armour, the Vanguard's set bonus and the Caller's eitr.
Notes
- The Galdr Table only goes up to level 5, so the pieces of the Caller Set can only be upgraded to quality 3.
- The cast takes six Bloodgold, six Moose Hide, five Nornathread and the mould.
- Once it is fully upgraded, the Forge of Potential can upgrade it further with a Bloodgold Protection Idol.
