C-Thru

C-Thru
C-Thru
Class Weapon Mod

C-Thru is a Tech weapon mod for shooting enemies through walls and cover. Tech weapons fire charged shots that can pass through cover. C-Thru lowers how much charge a shot needs before it goes through. It also cuts the damage lost when a shot passes through cover. It suits a Technical Ability build that charges Tech guns and hunts enemies who hide. C-Thru is available from the early game, since weapon vendors can stock its lower tiers.

Effect

A Tech weapon must reach a certain charge before its shot can penetrate cover. C-Thru lowers that threshold. V can release a shot sooner and still hit an enemy behind a wall or a crate. The threshold drops by 15% at Tier 1 and by 25% at Tier 5.

A shot that passes through cover normally loses some of its damage. C-Thru reduces that loss. The penalty drops by 15% at Tier 1 and by 25% at Tier 5.

How to Get C-Thru Guide

  • Check weapon vendors, which sell lower tiers.
  • With Phantom Liberty, open airdrops in Dogtown for higher tiers.
  • Combine a matching pair at the crafting menu to raise its tier.

Upgrades

C-Thru comes in Tiers 1 to 5. A matching pair of the same mod and tier can be combined at the crafting menu into one copy a tier higher. A mod can only go on a weapon of the same tier or higher. Once installed in a weapon, the mod stays in that weapon.

Character Builds

C-Thru belongs on a Tech weapon in a Technical Ability build. Bolt raises charge speed and charged shot damage for Tech weapons. Its last level unlocks Bolt shots. A Bolt acts as a fully charged shot and halves the penalty for penetrating cover. Lightning Storm adds charge speed after each Bolt and stacks several times. In Charge stops Tech weapons from firing on their own at full charge.

Kiroshi "Stalker" Optics are Face cyberware made for Tech weapons. When V aims a Tech weapon, they highlight enemies behind cover. V can then see the targets that C-Thru lets the shots reach.

Notes

  • Wallpuncher is the Iconic Tech weapon mod crafted from the Active Chimera Core. It removes the penalty for shooting through cover.
