Wallpuncher is an Iconic weapon mod for Tech weapons that doubles how far a shot can be charged. A Tech weapon with Wallpuncher charges to 200% of its normal limit, and the charge takes no longer. Its shots also gain 100% Armor Penetration and take no penalty when they pass through cover. It is crafted from the core of the Militech Chimera in Phantom Liberty. It suits a Tech weapon build that shoots enemies through walls. Wallpuncher is a Phantom Liberty item that becomes available after the fight with the Militech Chimera in the main story.
Effect
A Tech weapon charges up before it fires, and a charged shot hits harder. Tech weapon shots can also pass through cover. Wallpuncher improves both of these traits.
The first part raises the charge limit. The weapon can charge to 200% capacity. The charge time stays the same as before, so the extra power comes at no cost in time.
The second part is penetration. The weapon gains 100% Armor Penetration. Armor Penetration lets shots ignore enemy Armor. Shots that pass through cover also take no cover penalty.
Wallpuncher is worth the slot on a Tech weapon that V fires at full charge.

Upgrades
Wallpuncher comes only as a Tier 5 Iconic mod. Iconic mods behave differently from normal weapon mods. Wallpuncher can be taken out of a weapon and moved to another one. It is also removed automatically when the weapon it sits in is sold, disassembled or dropped, so the mod is not lost with the weapon.
Character Builds
Wallpuncher belongs in a Technical Ability build that uses Tech weapons. Bolt raises charge speed for Tech weapons. In Charge stops Tech weapons from firing on their own at full charge, so V can hold the shot until it lines up. Lightning Storm raises charge speed after each Bolt, and the bonus stacks. Chain Lightning makes a Bolt deal Electrical damage and arc to nearby enemies.
Focus and Deadeye in the Cool tree add damage to headshots and weak spots.
Lore
Wallpuncher is one of four Iconic weapon mods made from the Chimera's core. The other three are Firecracker for Power weapons, Hackatomy for Smart weapons and Severance for melee weapons. The core comes from the Militech Chimera, a boss that V fights in the Phantom Liberty story.
The core is a single item, and crafting any of the four mods uses it up.
Notes
- Only one Active Chimera Core is available per playthrough, so crafting Wallpuncher rules out Firecracker, Hackatomy and Severance.
- The Active Chimera Core can be put on display in V's apartment in Megabuilding H10 instead of being used for crafting.
- After crafting, the core becomes an Inactive Chimera Core, which can still be put on display.
