The Militech Canto Mk.6 is an Iconic cyberdeck from Phantom Liberty, and the only cyberdeck that carries the Blackwall Gateway quickhack. Blackwall Gateway is an Ultimate quickhack that jumps from enemy to enemy, dealing lethal damage to their cyberware and neural systems. It also shuts down mechs, robots, drones and turrets. The deck lets V hack enemies and devices while scanning, like other cyberdecks. It suits a late game Intelligence build that wants a quickhack able to clear a whole group. Getting it takes a specific story path and a choice that rules out the Erebus. The Militech Canto Mk.6 is a Phantom Liberty reward, crafted after the main job Somewhat Damaged and the side job This Corrosion on Reed's side of the story.
Effect
The Canto works as a full cyberdeck. It holds V's quickhacks, sets V's RAM pool and allows hacking while scanning. Its signature is Blackwall Gateway, which comes installed on the deck.
Blackwall Gateway is uploaded to one enemy and then spreads to other enemies nearby. Each enemy it reaches takes lethal damage to cyberware and neural systems. Mechs, robots, drones and turrets it reaches are deactivated. The quickhack spends RAM every time it spreads. Each spread uploads faster than the last but costs more RAM. The quickhack's own text adds that the cost can be cut in half for anyone willing to pay in blood.
The rising RAM cost is the main limit, so a large RAM pool lets the chain run longer. The first upload is also slow.
How to Get Militech Canto Mk.6 Guide
- Side with Reed in the main job Firestarter.
- In Somewhat Damaged, take the Crafting Spec: Militech Canto from the Experimental Prototyping lab in the Cynosure Facility. The door code is 714212.
- Loot the behavioral system component from the Cerberus in the same job.
- Finish Leave in Silence, then answer the message from an unknown number to start This Corrosion.
- Let Yoko decrypt the component at Kabuki Market.
- Craft the Canto with the decoded component, Tier 5 crafting components and Tier 5 quickhack components.

- Head down into the facility toward Sector 3.
- Find the Experimental Prototyping lab and open its door with the code 714212.
- Take the Crafting Spec: Militech Canto from inside the lab.
- Later in the job, loot the behavioral system component from the Cerberus robot.
- Finish Somewhat Damaged and the main job Leave in Silence.
- Wait for a message from an unknown number, which starts the side job This Corrosion.
- Meet the netrunner Yoko at Kabuki Market in Watson and hand over the component.
- Wait while Yoko decrypts it, then collect Cerberus' decoded behavioral system component.
- Open the crafting menu and craft the Militech Canto Mk.6 with the decoded component, Tier 5 crafting components and Tier 5 quickhack components.
- Visit a ripperdoc and install the Canto in the operating system slot.
The map shows Kabuki Market in Watson, where Yoko decrypts the Cerberus component needed to craft it.

Upgrades
The Canto is an Iconic cyberdeck. It is crafted from its spec rather than bought. It can then be raised through the higher tiers up to Tier 5++. V gains Cyberware Capacity with each level and from Cyberware Capacity Shards. The Edgerunner perk lets V go over the limit at the cost of some max Health.
The table shows what each tier step of Militech Canto Mk.6 costs at a ripperdoc.
| Upgrade | Components | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Tier 3 to Tier 3+ | 105 Tier 3 components | - |
| Tier 3+ to Tier 4 | 52 Tier 4 components | - |
| Tier 4 to Tier 4+ | 105 Tier 4 components | - |
| Tier 4+ to Tier 5 | 52 Tier 5 components | - |
| Tier 5 to Tier 5+ | 105 Tier 5 components | - |
| Tier 5+ to Tier 5++ | 280 Tier 5 components | Phantom Liberty |
Character Builds
The Canto belongs in an Intelligence build. Overclock lets V keep hacking with too little RAM, paying with Health for each unit over the limit. Power Surge restores Health when Overclock starts. Sublimation turns RAM recovery into Health regen while Overclock is active. Optimization raises the RAM recovery rate. Hack Queue and Queue Acceleration each add a point of max RAM and let V stack quickhacks on one target.
Frontal Cortex implants that add RAM help the chain go further. The Ex-Disk adds max RAM and faster uploads. Memory Boost restores RAM each time an enemy goes down. Feen-X in the Skeleton speeds up RAM regen when RAM runs low.
Select a Build
Quickhacks do most of the damage, chained from cover before enemies find the character. The Tetratronic Rippler cyberdeck adds quickhack damage, and Overclock spends Health in place of RAM. A smart weapon or the Monowire finishes anyone left standing.

Lore
Militech built the Canto for Project Cynosure, a secret Militech program. V finds its crafting spec in the Experimental Prototyping lab of the Cynosure Facility. The deck needs a part taken from the Cerberus, a Militech maintenance robot that hunts V through the facility.
The deck also talks. A rogue AI housed in it makes remarks while V hacks. One of its lines dismisses its target as "a fragile simulacrum."
Notes
- Only one decoded component exists. V can craft either the Canto or the Erebus submachine gun, never both.
- Siding with Songbird in Firestarter loses the Canto for that playthrough.
