The Dynalar Sandevistan slows the world to half speed while V keeps moving at full speed. During that window V also lands critical hits more often and harder. It is a plain, affordable Sandevistan that suits precise weapons and builds that rely on critical hits. It is a good first Sandevistan for a low level V. It also fits a character who has little Cyberware Capacity left for a heavier model. The Dynalar Sandevistan is an early to late game operating system, sold by every ripperdoc in Night City from level 10.
Effect
A Sandevistan is an operating system that slows time for everyone except V. V presses the cyberware button to start it and can press it again to stop it early. The effect runs until it reaches its maximum duration or until V turns it off. A cooldown follows before it can be used again.
While the Dynalar Sandevistan is active, time slows by half. V gains Crit Chance and Crit Damage for the whole window. The bonuses are small at Tier 2 and grow at every tier. The duration grows a little, and the cooldown shrinks at the higher tiers.
The implant is attuned to Reflexes from Tier 3 onward. Each Reflexes point adds a tenth of a second to the maximum duration. A character with full Reflexes gains about two extra seconds of slowed time.
How to Get Dynalar Sandevistan Guide
- Visit any ripperdoc from level 10 to buy it at Tier 2.
- Return at levels 20, 30 and 40 for higher tiers.
- Upgrade it at a ripperdoc with crafting components.

Upgrades
The Dynalar Sandevistan comes in Tiers 2 to 5, with plus steps in between. Each step raises its critical hit bonuses, lengthens the window or shortens the cooldown. The time slow itself stays at half speed at every tier. The capacity cost stays the same at every tier, and it is one of the lightest among Sandevistans. Ripperdoc stock moves up a tier at levels 20, 30 and 40. A ripperdoc can upgrade the installed implant with crafting components, which is the only way to reach Tier 5++.
The table shows what each tier step of Dynalar Sandevistan costs at a ripperdoc.
| Upgrade | Components | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Tier 2 to Tier 2+ | 45 Tier 2 components | - |
| Tier 2+ to Tier 3 | 22 Tier 3 components | - |

Character Builds
The Dynalar Sandevistan works best in a Reflexes build with a weapon that rewards careful aim. Precision rifles, revolvers and blades all make good use of half speed time and extra critical hits. Bullet Time makes Bullet Deflect free of Stamina whenever time is slowed, and deflected bullets then hit enemies for Crit Damage. That makes a blade build with this Sandevistan very hard to shoot. Dash and Air Dash help V reposition while enemies are slowed.
From the Technical Ability tree, Ticking Time Bomb sets off a charged EMP each time a Sandevistan starts. Extended Warranty adds duration to all cyberware effects, including this one. From the Cool tree, Road Warrior lets V use the Sandevistan while driving. Cooldown cyberware such as the Newton Module or Axolotl brings the Sandevistan back sooner after each kill.
Select a Build
The Sandevistan goes on at the start of every fight to slow time. Blades close the gap on groups, and a revolver lands easy headshots while time is slowed. Kills extend the Sandevistan, so the character moves from one target to the next without stopping.

Ping reveals enemies behind walls, and Tech weapon shots pierce the cover between them. A charged shot released at the click of Bolt deals the most damage. With a Militech Sandevistan, the charge starts first and time slows at half charge so the Bolt shot lands as a headshot.

Lore
Dynalar builds this Sandevistan as a dependable workhorse. Its in-game description calls it a standard choice for soldiers and mercenaries. The text says it offers speed and built-in combat support at a very attractive price. The built-in support is the critical hit boost that runs while time is slowed.
Notes
- The Dynalar Sandevistan fills the operating system slot, so it replaces a Berserk or a cyberdeck.
