Circulatory System

Electromag Recycler

The Circulatory System is the slot for healing and Stamina. It holds three implants. Its cyberware restores Health on kills, uses Health Items automatically, refills Stamina and lowers the cost of attacks. Second Heart even brings its user back from death once per cooldown. Every build gains from this slot, because every build needs to stay alive and keep attacking.

Effects

Healing implants keep Health topped up. The Blood Pump works as a built-in Health Item. It heals a large burst at once and then more Health every second for six seconds. The Biomonitor uses the equipped Health Item on its own when Health drops below half. It also makes every Health Item heal more. Heal-On-Kill restores a share of max Health after each kill. Second Heart refills Health to full when it reaches zero, then goes on a long cooldown.

Tech weapon implants reward charged shots. The Feedback Circuit restores Health each time a fully charged Tech weapon shot hits. The Electromag Recycler is its Iconic variant, and it restores Stamina as well.

Stamina implants let a fighter attack longer. Clutch Padding cuts the Stamina cost of shooting. The Isometric Stabilizer is its Iconic variant, and its cut applies to every attack, melee included. The Adrenaline Booster restores Stamina after each melee kill.

Other implants fill narrow roles. Microrotors raise melee attack speed, up to the cap of two attacks per second. The Black Mamba cuts its user's Poison damage by 90% against a Poisoned enemy. In return, every other kind of damage against that enemy rises. ThreatEvac raises movement speed once Health falls to a quarter.

Pros

Cons

  • Second Heart has a cooldown of 300 seconds at Tier 4, so it usually works once per hard fight.
  • The Feedback Circuit and the Electromag Recycler need fully charged shots from Tech weapons.
  • The Isometric Stabilizer and the Electromag Recycler cost 40 capacity each.
  • Microrotors give little to a weapon that already swings close to the speed cap.

Best Circulatory System Cyberware

Name Image Why
Second Heart Second Heart Full Health when Health hits zero
Blood Pump Blood Pump Burst heal plus healing over time
Biomonitor Biomonitor Automatic Health Item below half Health
Isometric Stabilizer Isometric Stabilizer Cheaper attacks with every weapon
Electromag Recycler Electromag Recycler Health and Stamina on charged Tech hits
Microrotors Microrotors Faster melee attacks
Adrenaline Booster Adrenaline Booster Stamina back on every melee kill

The Blood Pump and the Biomonitor work together as a safety net. Second Heart adds a last chance on top of them. A melee build without a Berserk takes the Adrenaline Booster, because a Berserk removes Stamina costs only while it runs.

Character Builds

The slot mixes attributes. The Blood Pump, the Biomonitor, the Feedback Circuit and the Electromag Recycler are attuned to Technical Ability. Each point improves Health Items or Tech weapon damage. The Adrenaline Booster, Microrotors and the Black Mamba are attuned to Reflexes, and each point adds a little Crit Chance. Clutch Padding and Second Heart are attuned to Body. Heal-On-Kill is attuned to Intelligence.

  • Health Freak, First Aid and Transfusion improve Health Items, which the Biomonitor uses on its own.
  • Adrenaline Rush and Dorph-Head boost the Blood Pump. Dorph-Head adds Mitigation Chance for two seconds after each use.
  • Bolt unlocks Bolt shots, and a Bolt counts as a fully charged shot. The Feedback Circuit and the Electromag Recycler trigger on it.
  • Finisher: Bladerunner and Slaughterhouse suit Microrotors and the Adrenaline Booster on a blade build.
  • Ready, Rested, Reloaded and Spray And Pray cut shooting costs further on top of Clutch Padding.
  • Scorpion Sting applies Poison with throwable weapons, which sets up the Black Mamba.

The healing implants matter most for builds that spend Health on purpose. Overclock netrunners and characters running over capacity with Edgerunner rely on the Blood Pump and the Biomonitor. Kiroshi Stalker Optics in the Face slot connect to a Tech weapon and suit a Feedback Circuit build.

Notes

  • Second Heart reaches ripperdocs at level 30.
  • Second Heart may not trigger after a fall from an extreme height.
  • The Blood Pump is sold from level 10, and its instant heal grows from 45 at Tier 2 to 110.
  • The Electromag Recycler and the Isometric Stabilizer are sold by the Dogtown ripperdocs from level 20. They also drop from Dogtown airdrops.
  • The Isometric Stabilizer is attuned to Reflexes from Tier 3. Each point then lowers every Stamina cost by half a percent, dodges and Dashes included.
  • A pair of Microrotors can be looted from the cyberpsycho Lely Hein in Northside.
