The Militech "Falcon" Sandevistan slows time sharply and keeps V alive while it runs. V deals more damage and lands more critical hits during the window. Every kill also restores a slice of Health. It can be started at any charge level, so V can spend it in short bursts. It suits a Reflexes build that fights up close and wants slowed time with a safety net. The Militech "Falcon" Sandevistan is a mid to late game Iconic operating system, sold by every ripperdoc from level 30 and given by Carol Emeka during the Phantom Liberty main job Black Steel In The Hour of Chaos.
Effect
A Sandevistan is an operating system that slows time for everyone except V. V presses the cyberware button to start it and can press it again to stop it early. The Falcon can start at any charge level. V does not have to wait for a full charge before using it.
While the Falcon is active, time slows by 70 percent. V gains damage, Crit Chance and Crit Damage for the whole window. The bonuses are small at Tier 4 and grow at every tier. At Tier 5++ the Crit Chance bonus is the largest of the three.
Kills keep the Falcon going. Each enemy V neutralizes during the window extends the duration a little. Each kill also restores Health. At Tier 5++ every kill heals V by about an eighth of the Health bar. The window lasts nine to ten seconds. The cooldown drops from forty seconds at Tier 4 to thirty at Tier 5++.
The Falcon is attuned to Reflexes. Each Reflexes point adds a tenth of a second to the maximum duration. A character with full Reflexes gains two extra seconds of slowed time.

Upgrades
The Militech "Falcon" Sandevistan comes in Tiers 4 and 5, with plus steps in between. Each step raises some of its bonuses, its healing or its duration, or shortens its cooldown. The time slow stays at 70 percent at every tier. The capacity cost also stays the same at every tier. Ripperdocs stock Tier 4 from level 30 and Tier 5 from level 40. A ripperdoc can upgrade the installed implant with crafting components, which is the only way to reach Tier 5++. Cyberware Capacity Shards and the Edgerunner perk help make room for its high cost.
The table shows what each tier step of Militech "Falcon" Sandevistan costs at a ripperdoc.
| Upgrade | Components | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Tier 4 to Tier 4+ | 75 Tier 4 components | - |
| Tier 4+ to Tier 5 | 37 Tier 5 components | - |
| Tier 5 to Tier 5+ | 75 Tier 5 components | - |
| Tier 5+ to Tier 5++ | 200 Tier 5 components | Phantom Liberty |
Character Builds
The Militech "Falcon" Sandevistan belongs in a Reflexes build. The healing on each kill suits fighters who stay close to enemies. Bullet Time makes Bullet Deflect free of Stamina whenever time is slowed. Deflected bullets then hit enemies for Crit Damage. Dash and Air Dash help V reach the next target while enemies are slowed. Sharpshooter and Practice Makes Perfect add Crit Chance and Crit Damage for gunfighters.
From the Technical Ability tree, Ticking Time Bomb sets off a charged EMP each time a Sandevistan starts. Extended Warranty adds duration to all cyberware effects, including this one. From the Cool tree, Road Warrior lets V use the Sandevistan while driving. For cyberware, Kiroshi "Cockatrice" Optics add Crit Chance. The Newton Module and Axolotl shorten cooldowns, so the Falcon comes back sooner.
Select a Build
The Sandevistan goes on at the start of every fight to slow time. Blades close the gap on groups, and a revolver lands easy headshots while time is slowed. Kills extend the Sandevistan, so the character moves from one target to the next without stopping.

Lore
The in-game description calls the Falcon the best and most advanced Sandevistan model out there. Militech builds it. The text says only elite Militech soldiers used it at first. Now it is on sale to ordinary customers. The nickname is no accident, the description adds. The peregrine falcon was once one of the fastest animals in the world. The Falcon holds the same place among cyberware.
In Phantom Liberty, the netrunner Carol Emeka can send V a Falcon. During Black Steel In The Hour of Chaos, V needs help against MaxTac. Carol refuses to hand over data, but she offers a gift instead. If V asks her for a weapon, the gift is this Sandevistan.
Notes
- Carol Emeka is only one of several netrunners V can call during Black Steel In The Hour of Chaos. Skipping the call to Carol means no gift from her.
- The Militech "Apogee" Sandevistan is the stronger relative. It slows time more and restores Stamina on kills instead of Health.
- The Falcon fills the operating system slot, so it replaces a Berserk or a cyberdeck.
