Pisces is the side job in which Judy Álvarez and the dolls of Clouds try to take the dollhouse from the Tyger Claws. It starts with a call from Judy after Talkin' 'bout a Revolution, at Megabuilding H8 in Japantown. V storms the penthouse of the Tyger Claws boss Hiromi Sato, only to find that Maiko Maeda, the doll leading the plan, has a plan of her own.

Story

The Uprising

Johnny has a saying: what is worse than a corporate type? Someone who wants to be one. He is not surprised that V was talked into this uprising, and in his day he would have charged the riot shields for the freedom of the dolls himself. But he has a bad feeling about Maiko.

After the events of Talkin' 'bout a Revolution, Judy calls. Maiko Maeda has finally got back to her, and the group is gathering at Megabuilding H8: Judy, Maiko, and the dolls Tom Caldera and Roxanne Sumner. They go over the plan and take the lift. Judy and V get off at the maintenance level to take control of it, while Tom and Roxanne head on to Clouds.

The Penthouse

To control the level, Judy needs its control panel, but Tyger Claws guard the floor. V clears them out and meets Judy at the panel. Judy will not come to the penthouse, so from here V is on V's own. V reaches the roof and drops onto the balcony of Hiromi's penthouse, then fights past the guards to his office.

Maiko's Plan

Maiko is waiting inside. With her are Hiromi and two more Tyger Claws bosses, Jun Azegami and Marcus Ichida. Maiko reveals that she only joined Judy's plan to take Hiromi's place. She wants to show the other bosses that Hiromi is incompetent, win their trust and run Clouds under their protection. She is certain that the dolls cannot hold Clouds on their own and will be crushed without a gang behind them.

Getting Started

Wait for Judy's call after Talkin' 'bout a Revolution and talk to her.
Go to Megabuilding H8 in the afternoon, around 4 PM, and wait if it is too early.
Meet Judy and the dolls and talk to the group.
Follow Judy and ride the lift to the maintenance level.

The Maintenance Level

Defeat the Tyger Claws on the floor.
Talk to Judy at the control panel.
Go into the freight lift and ride it to the roof.

The Penthouse

Find a way into Hiromi's penthouse: drop onto the balcony, then use the shutters that lead straight to the office upstairs, or the balcony door guarded by one Tyger Claw.
Defeat the Tyger Claws guards on the penthouse floor, including the one by the bar. Clearing them now saves a fight on the way out.
Get into Hiromi's office and join the meeting.
Talk to the Tyger Claws bosses, or fight them.
Talk to Maiko, or fight her.

Leaving

Leave the apartment and ride the lift to the ground floor.
Talk to Judy.

Choices

Go Along with Maiko

Say V will do V's best, that Maiko has gone too far, that Hiromi has to go, and that Maiko will run things. The deal with the Tyger Claws ends in peace, and Maiko becomes the boss of Clouds. Working conditions under her turn out to be just as bad as under Woodman.

Taking Maiko's money makes Judy cut ties with V and leave Night City. Pyramid Song never starts, and the romance with Judy is lost. A Streetkid V can push Maiko for a bigger payment.

Refusing the money keeps Judy on V's side. She is disappointed but accepts that Maiko knows more about protecting Clouds than she does.

Stand Against Maiko

Say that Clouds will be a collective run by the dolls, or draw a weapon. The Tyger Claws bosses attack, and V fights them. Afterwards, answer Maiko with "What?" and then "Can't know that" to keep her from turning hostile.

If Maiko dies, Judy is shocked. V can argue it was self defence, but Judy thinks it was needless and leaves to think. The Tyger Claws later strike back hard: Tom is killed, Roxanne goes into hiding, and Clouds closes.

If Maiko is beaten but spared, Judy is pleased that the dolls run Clouds. The Tyger Claws still strike back, Tom dies and Roxanne flees. A feminine V gets a kiss from Judy.

In both cases, Pyramid Song still follows, and the romance with Judy stays possible.

Rewards

Completing Pisces pays €$ 0 to 37,200 (dependent), 578 experience and 866 Street Cred. It also rewards Tsumetogi (missable).

The Iconic katana Tsumetogi lies on the table in the middle of the meeting room. If it is not taken, it must be looted from Hiromi Sato. The Tyger Claws bosses drop a katana, a DB-2 Satara and grenades. Accepting Maiko's payment gives a large sum of eddies.

Tips

For a fairly good outcome, attack Maiko but do not kill her. Even fists can kill her by accident with some builds, so an EMP grenade is a safer way to bring her down. Tsumetogi can be grabbed from the table during the talk by standing close to it and pressing the interaction button.

Notes

The job is named after a song by the band Jinjer, which uses a fish swimming upstream, only to be caught, as a picture of human duality.

Judy's later mood in Pyramid Song depends on how Clouds fared after this job.

All Side Jobs
