The Type-66 "Javelina" is a nomad build of Quadra's Type-66 muscle car, with light armour, a hidden cabin and forward machine guns. Nomads swap its drivetrain to all-wheel drive and tune its engine far beyond the stock car. It is very fast and agile for an armed car, which makes it a good choice for car combat. Players buy it as an all-round weapon on wheels for the city and the Badlands. The Javelina is a late Autofixer car that unlocks at high Street Cred.
Performance
The standard Type-66 drives only the rear wheels, but the Javelina drives all four. Its tuned engine is one of the strongest in the base game.
The Javelina carries two fixed machine guns at the front. The guns cannot turn on their own, so V aims them by pointing the car. Its strong torque lets V swing the nose around almost on the spot to keep the guns on a target. The machine guns fire straight ahead and reload on their own once the ammo runs out.
The CrystalDome cabin replaces glass windows with a projected view. Enemies outside cannot see who sits inside.
Quickhacks on enemy cars can make them swerve into walls, civilians or police during a chase. Any car with mounted guns gains from vehicle combat skills too. The Carhacker perk in the Intelligence tree unlocks vehicle quickhacks, which can take over or blow up enemy cars during a chase.

Lore
The Database says the Type-66 was designed for city streets, but some still cruise the desert wastes. These nomad builds are called Javelinas. They carry light armour plating and expertly tuned engines. Thanks to CrystalDome technology, the driver stays hidden from view while keeping a full, clear view of the road.
Before the Autofixer, the fixer Dakota Smith sold the Javelina to V. Her message said her brother-in-law had tuned it, a perfectionist who checks every screw five times. She added that every nomad wants a car like it, but few can afford one.
