The Blue-White Wooden Shield is a small wooden roundshield reinforced with metal, its design said to represent the stars of the night sky, portending fate. It lies behind a building in Academy Gate Town, south of the South Raya Lucaria Gate Site of Grace in Liurnia of the Lakes. It is light and easy to handle at 2 weight, but as a wooden shield it cannot match the damage negation of a metal one. Small shields like it suit agile characters who parry more than they block, and it accepts Ashes of War.

It lets 15% of physical damage through, and against the elements it holds up best to magic, at 45%, and worst to lightning, at 22%. Running out of stamina mid-block breaks the guard and opens the wielder to a critical hit.

Build

A light off-hand shield for an agile build, used to parry melee attacks and punish the opening with a critical hit, and to block when a parry is not possible.

Stats	Strength 8 to wield it, Vigor 40 then 60, Endurance 20 to 30 for the stamina to hold a guard, with the main weapon's stats taking the rest
Affinity	Standard keeps its full guard values, since an affinity changes a shield's damage negation while guarding.
