Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone is an upgrade material in Elden Ring.
The Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone is the rarest somber stone. It performs the final upgrade on a special armament, from +9 to +10. No merchant sells it, so each playthrough holds a fixed supply. Most copies come from the last regions, from quest rewards and from dragons.
Use
Smithing Master Hewg in Roundtable Hold or War Counselor Iji performs the upgrade. A single stone takes a special armament from +9 to +10. The upgrade also costs runes.
"Ancient dragonrock smithing stone drained of color. A scale of the Ancient Dragonlord, and hidden treasure of Farum Azula. Strengthens special armaments to +10. The Ancient Dragonlord's seat is said to lie beyond time. This stone lightly twists time, allowing the creation of a weapon capable of slaying a god."
