The Hoslow's Petal Whip is a Whip in Elden Ring. It carries the highest physical attack of any whip in the game.

When to Use It

Late game. It is found around Mountaintops of the Giants, far enough in that it is an end-of-run weapon rather than something to build towards.

Why Players Pick It

Hardest physical hit in the class at 110 at +0 and 276 at max Standard, with blood loss 55. More importantly it is one of a small group of weapons that deal extra damage when Hemorrhage procs WITHOUT being blood-infused, so you get the proc bonus while keeping Standard's higher raw attack rating (AR). Two are obtainable per playthrough for powerstancing. Costs: Dex 20 and 3.5 weight, the heaviest whip in the class.

Upgrades

Ordinary Smithing Stones carry it all the way to +25, and because it is not a Somber weapon it will also hold a grease or a weapon buff, which is a damage source the unique blades simply do not have.

Build

Its scaling runs Str at D and Dex at D, so Str and Dex are the stats worth levelling, and you need Str 10 and Dex 20 before you can lift it. Any Ash of War and any affinity will sit on it, so its scaling can be re-cut towards whichever stat you are already levelling. It also causes blood loss buildup (55) on its own, with no infusion needed.

Notes

Metal whip formed of razor-sharp chain-link blades that have the appearance of flower petals. This work of art is handed down through the generations of the illustrious House Hoslow. High dexterity is required to wield this weapon, but it excels at inflicting devastating blood loss. "The tale of House Hoslow is told in blood."

How to Get Hoslow's Petal Whip Guide

  • Dropped by Juno Hoslow, Knight of Blood after invading him at the Shack of the Lofty on the Mountaintops of the Giants.
  • The invasion sign appears after receiving the Red Letter, the final contract from Tanith, Volcano Manor Proprietress.
