The Rogier's Rapier is a Thrusting Sword in Elden Ring. It carries the highest physical attack of any thrusting sword in the game.

When to Use It

Early game. It is found around Roundtable Hold, in the opening stretch of a run, so it is one of the first real upgrades you can carry.

Upgrades

Ordinary Smithing Stones carry it all the way to +25, and because it is not a Somber weapon it will also hold a grease or a weapon buff, which is a damage source the unique blades simply do not have.

Build

Its scaling runs Str at E and Dex at C, so Dex is the stat worth levelling, and you need Str 8 and Dex 17 before you can lift it. Any Ash of War and any affinity will sit on it, so its scaling can be re-cut towards whichever stat you are already levelling.

Critical Damage

Critical 110. A backstab, or a riposte after a guard break, is multiplied by this, where 100 is the baseline most weapons carry.

One weapon of its class reach higher, topping out at 130.
It pays for getting behind an enemy or breaking their stance rather than trading hits in the open.

Piercing sword of superior quality, featuring intricate ornamentation. Signature weapon of the sorcerer Rogier. High dexterity is required to wield the blade to its full potential, but mastery is a sight to behold, characterized by a flowing style which excels in successive attacks.
