The Grave Scythe is a Reaper in Elden Ring. It has the highest physical attack of any reaper in the game. It is a mid-game find.

The Grave Scythe is a greatscythe made of a large blade fixed to a crooked stick, the weapon of the aged grave keepers who tend the forgotten graveyards of the Lands Between, once said to ward off evil spirits. Skeletal grave keepers drop it at a 2% base rate, and the graveyard west of the Lake-Facing Cliffs Site of Grace in Liurnia of the Lakes is a good place to farm it. Like every reaper it has long reach and a wide sweeping moveset, its light attacks ignore half of a block's damage negation, and every hit builds blood loss. It has high attack power for a polearm and also raises resistance to death blight, so it suits a Strength and Dexterity character or a bleed build that leans on spinning skills.

Stats

The Grave Scythe is the hardest-hitting reaper at 144 physical at +0, with 55 innate blood loss buildup, and it accepts infusions, Ashes of War and buffs on ordinary Smithing Stones. That high attack makes it a favorite carrier for spinning skills such as Spinning Weapon and Black Flame Tornado, and it can be farmed early and stays useful to the end.

Skill

Spinning Slash costs 6 / 12 FP. The wielder spins the whole body to slash foes in a wide circle, and an additional input adds two more spins. Small weapons spin quickly, while greatswords, spears, halberds and other large weapons use a slower, sweeping version. The skill cannot be parried. It is the weapon's default Ash of War, so another can take its place.
