Ancient Bark and Guck from the Swamp plus Silver from the Mountain make Draugr Fang, the bow that starts putting poison into every shot. It deals 47 pierce and 5 poison damage. At 52 total damage it ranks 6th among bows, so it is a step on the ladder rather than the top of it. Carry it for Cultist, Ulv and Troll, which take more from pierce and poison damage than most things do.
How to Craft
You craft it at a level 2 forge from:
- 10x Ancient Bark: Chopped from ancient trees in the Swamp.
- 20x Silver: Smelted from silver ore in a smelter.
- 2x Deer Hide: Dropped by deer.
- 10x Guck: Dropped by abominations and knocked off guck sacks in the Swamp.

When to Use It
It is a mid-game bow. Silver lies under the Mountain snow and you need a Wishbone to find it, so this comes after Bonemass.
Upgrades
You can upgrade it 3 times after crafting, and each level needs the station built one step higher than the last. All other stats on this page are for quality 1, so use this table to see where your own copy sits:

Properties
Its poison stacks with Poison Arrows. The bow's own 5 poison is small, but the 2 effects add together instead of one replacing the other. That makes it the one bow whose damage type compounds with its ammunition instead of being drowned out by it.
It deals 47 pierce and needs a level 2 Forge. It is the silver-tier bow, and the last one before the Black Forge tier.
Your skill is what makes the weapon. Draw time falls from 2.5 seconds at Bows skill 0 to 0.5 at 100, and you can reach the 0.8-second firing cap from about skill 85. Nothing else in the game improves fivefold just from using it.
Notes
- The bow glows, which makes you easier to spot while sneaking and undoes some of the stealth the Huntsman Bow gave you.
