The Draugr Fang is a bow in Valheim, dealing 47 pierce and 5 poison. At 52 total damage it is 6th of the 9 bows, so it is a step on the ladder rather than the top of it. Pierce and poison damage hurts Cultist, Ulv and Troll more than most things, which is what to carry it for.

How to Craft

Crafted at Forge, station level 2.
Costs 10x Ancient bark, 20x Silver, 2x Deer hide, 10x Guck at quality 1.
Materials can be found in the Mountain biome.

When to Use It

Mid game. Silver is under the Mountain snow and needs a Wishbone to find, so this follows Bonemass.

Upgrades

Properties

Its poison stacks with poison arrows. The bow's own 5 poison is small, but the 2 effects add rather than replace, which makes this the one bow whose damage type compounds with its ammunition instead of being swamped by it.

47 pierce at Forge level 2. The silver-tier bow, and the last before the Black forge classes.

The skill is the weapon. Draw time falls from 2.5 seconds at Bows 0 to 0.5 at 100, and the 0.8-second firing cap is reachable from about skill 85. Nothing else in the game improves fivefold for doing nothing but using it.

Notes

The bow glows, which raises your visibility while sneaking. It undoes some of what the Huntsman bow was quiet for.
