The Krom is a sword in Valheim, dealing 150 slash. At 150 total damage it is 6th of the 15 swords, so it is a step on the ladder rather than the top of it.

How to Craft

Crafted at Black forge, station level 1.
Costs 30x Iron, 20x Bronze, 5x Scale hide at quality 1.
Materials can be found in the Mistlands biome.

When to Use It

Mid game. It needs Mistlands materials and a Black forge, so it is behind Yagluth and the sea crossing after him. 2 biomes still sit past this one: the Ashlands and the Deep North both carry better gear.

Upgrades

Properties

Available the day the Black forge is. Station level 1, where Nidhögg wants 3 and Dyrnwyn wants 4. 150 slash, the most in the class at that point, for 20 stamina a swing and no shield.

The reach is the point. The primary is a wide vertical arc, though the third hit of the combo narrows, and the secondary is a long thrust that outranges most things in the game. Against a Seeker that means hitting first from outside its own reach.

Notes

Brenna, in the Smouldering Tombs, fights with a fiery Krom whose secondary is an explosion rather than a thrust.
Named for Crom, the god the Cimmerians swear by in Robert E. Howard's Conan stories.
