Pinpoint is a weapon mod for pistols and revolvers that rewards headshots. Each headshot tightens the weapon's bullet spread for a few seconds. Further headshots stack the bonus, so a steady run of headshots makes the gun more and more accurate. It suits a precise handgun build that aims for the head every time. Pinpoint is available from the early game, since weapon vendors can stock its lower tiers.
Effect
Pinpoint triggers on a headshot. The hit lowers the weapon's bullet spread for 5 seconds. Bullet spread is the random scatter of shots around the aim point. Less spread means more shots land where the reticle points.
The bonus stacks with each new headshot. At Tier 1 each stack lowers spread by 4%, and the bonus stacks 2 times. At Tier 5 each stack lowers spread by 6%, and the bonus stacks 6 times.
Pinpoint is worth the slot on a pistol or revolver that fires fast enough to land headshots in a row.
How to Get Pinpoint Guide
- Check weapon vendors, which sometimes stock Tiers 1 to 3.
- Skip time by a day and check again if it is not on sale.
- Combine a matching pair at the crafting menu to raise its tier.

Upgrades
Pinpoint comes in Tiers 1 to 5. Each tier raises both the spread bonus per stack and the number of stacks. A matching pair of the same mod and tier can be combined at the crafting menu into one copy a tier higher. A mod can only go on a weapon of the same tier or higher. Once installed in a weapon, the mod stays in that weapon.
Character Builds
Pinpoint belongs in a Cool build that fights with handguns. Focus adds damage to headshots and weak spots. Deadeye raises headshot and weak spot damage further. Nerves Of Tungsten-Steel adds guaranteed critical hits on headshots and weak spots while Deadeye is active. High Noon speeds up the next reload after a headshot kill while Deadeye is active. California Reaper restores Stamina after a kill by headshot or weak spot.
Other perks also cut bullet spread. In the Reflexes tree, Tunnel Vision raises accuracy and effective range. Spice Of Life lowers bullet spread for a short time after a weapon swap. In the Body tree, Bullet Ballet lowers bullet spread while V moves. These bonuses help the first headshot land and start the first stack.
