The Nue is a Tsunami Power pistol, a heavy semi-automatic handgun that fires big .45 rounds. Each shot hits hard for a pistol. The Nue rewards a Cool build that aims carefully and goes for the head. The Valentinos like it and decorate their own copies, so the gang's members often carry one. Its in-game line says it was engineered to fit any hand. The Iconic pistols Death and Taxes, Riskit and La Chingona Dorada are built on the Nue. Weapon shops in districts such as Arroyo and Rancho Coronado sell the Nue, and Valentinos gangers drop it. It turns up through most of the story.
Combat
The Nue is a semi-automatic Power pistol. It fires one heavy round per pull of the trigger from a ten-round magazine, so it rewards accuracy over speed. As a Power weapon, its rounds can ricochet off hard surfaces. It takes a short scope and a muzzle attachment. A suppressor turns it into a quiet stealth pistol.
A heavy pistol works best with the Cool perks that reward headshots. While Focus lasts, V can take aimed shots without draining Stamina. Deadeye mode adds headshot and weak-spot damage while Stamina stays high. Head To Head resets Focus whenever an enemy dies during it. Several quick headshot kills in a row can keep Focus active.
How to Get Nue Guide
- Buy the Nue from a weapon shop, such as the ones in Arroyo or Rancho Coronado.
- Loot it from enemies, especially members of the Valentinos.

Upgrades
Only Iconic weapons can be upgraded, so a stronger Nue comes from a higher tier. Shop stock and loot scale with V's level. Two pistols of the same tier have the same stats, however they were obtained.
Character Builds
Pistols use the Cool tree. Focus, Deadeye and Long Shot reward aimed headshots at any range. Head To Head extends Focus with every kill made during it. Quick Draw speeds up the swap to the pistol and restores Stamina. High Noon gives a fast reload in slowed time after a headshot kill during Deadeye. Run 'N' Gun, the top pistol perk, removes the Stamina cost of hip-fire.
For cyberware, the Tyrosine Injector adds headshot damage after a takedown. It helps when a suppressed Nue starts a fight from stealth. Clutch Padding lowers the Stamina cost of shooting, and the Ballistic Coprocessor raises the chance of ricochets. Its mod slots take pistol and Power weapon mods. Pinpoint reduces spread after each headshot. Parallax adds range and removes sway while aiming, but Stamina regenerates more slowly. Swiss Cheese adds armor penetration.
Select a Build
Headshots deal most of the damage, and Focus and Deadeye only work at full Stamina, so each fight starts with a full Stamina bar. The Sandevistan slows time so a whole group can drop one headshot at a time. A silenced pistol handles quiet kills before a fight, and a shotgun deals with enemies that get close.

- La Chingona Dorada is Jackie Welles's pair of gold Nue pistols. They wait at his ofrenda at El Coyote Cojo after the job Heroes.
- Riskit is Bree Whitney's Iconic Nue from the Phantom Liberty expansion. At very low Health it handles better and every hit is a crit.
