| Class | Weapon Mod |
Spinetickler is a weapon mod for Tech weapons that adds an EMP blast to charged shots. Each fully charged hit on an enemy has a chance to set off the blast. The chance grows with each tier, up to one hit in two at Tier 5. It suits a Tech weapon build that fires charged shots at groups of enemies. Spinetickler is available from the early game, since weapon vendors can stock its lower tiers.
Effect
A Tech weapon charges up before it fires, and a charged shot hits harder. Spinetickler only adds its effect to a fully charged shot that hits an enemy. Each such hit has a chance to cause an EMP blast.
The chance is 10% at Tier 1. It rises by 10% with each tier and reaches 50% at Tier 5. Spinetickler is worth the slot on a Tech weapon that V fires at full charge most of the time.
How to Get Spinetickler Guide
- Check weapon vendors, which sometimes stock Tiers 1 to 3.
- Skip time by a day and check again if it is not on sale.
- Combine a matching pair at the crafting menu to raise its tier.

Upgrades
Spinetickler comes in Tiers 1 to 5. Each tier raises the EMP chance by 10%. A matching pair of the same mod and tier can be combined at the crafting menu into one copy a tier higher. A mod can only go on a weapon of the same tier or higher. Once installed in a weapon, the mod stays in that weapon.
Character Builds
Spinetickler belongs in a Technical Ability build that uses Tech weapons. Bolt raises charge speed for Tech weapons, so full charges come sooner. In Charge stops Tech weapons from firing on their own at full charge. That lets V hold a full charge until the shot lines up. Shock Value makes Bolts ignore enemy Armor. Chain Lightning makes a Bolt deal Electrical damage and arc to nearby enemies.
Supercharger is another Tech weapon mod that speeds up charging.
