The Chainlink Flail is a Flail in Elden Ring.
When to Use It
Mid game. It is found around Liurnia of the Lakes, which opens up past Stormveil Castle, so it arrives once a build has taken shape.
Why Players Pick It
The Strength flail and the only one: C Str at +0 rising to S Str on 's max heavy table, with the class's best Sta and best guard boost. Also carries 50 blood loss. Costs 18 Str / 12 Dex and 8.0 weight, the heaviest in the class. 4% drop from the Mad Pumpkin Heads that wield it.
Upgrades
Ordinary Smithing Stones carry it all the way to +25, and because it is not a Somber weapon it will also hold a grease or a weapon buff, which is a damage source the unique blades simply do not have.
Build
Its scaling runs Str at C and Dex at E, so Str is the stat worth levelling, and you need Str 18 and Dex 12 before you can lift it. Any Ash of War and any affinity will sit on it, so its scaling can be re-cut towards whichever stat you are already levelling. It also causes blood loss buildup (50) on its own, with no infusion needed.
Notes
A spiked iron tube attached by a chain wielded by Mad Pumpkin Heads. Especially large for a flail, wielding it requires more strength than it does dexterity.
