The Dragon King's Cragblade is a Heavy Thrusting Sword in Elden Ring. It is a late-game find.

The Dragon King's Cragblade is a piercing Gravel Stone sword holding primeval lightning, a portion of the Dragonlord's power drawn from the Remembrance of the Dragonlord after defeating Dragonlord Placidusax. It has its own heavy attack, shared with the Bloody Helice, with longer reach and a lunging charged thrust in place of the usual short double thrust. Its damage splits roughly 60 percent physical and 40 percent lightning, and Dexterity raises both, up to the soft cap at 80. It deals 30 percent more damage to dragons and 15 percent more to ancient dragons, and its pierce damage targets a common dragon weakness. Needing 37 Dexterity, it suits a dedicated Dexterity character, especially for dragon hunting.

Stats

The Dragon King's Cragblade carries 59 lightning damage at base and deals extra damage to dragons and ancient dragons, though its 92 physical is the lowest in the class. It reaches 225 physical and 144 lightning at max upgrade with B Dexterity. Its steep Dexterity requirement only pays off for dragon hunting or deep Dexterity builds.

How to Get Dragon King's Cragblade Guide

It is traded for the Remembrance of the Dragonlord with Finger Reader Enia at the Roundtable Hold. The remembrance drops from Dragonlord Placidusax in Crumbling Farum Azula.

  1. Defeat Dragonlord Placidusax in Crumbling Farum Azula to obtain the Remembrance of the Dragonlord.
  2. Travel to the Roundtable Hold.
  3. Talk to Finger Reader Enia and choose to exchange remembrances.
  4. Select the Remembrance of the Dragonlord and choose the Dragon King's Cragblade.
  5. To take the other reward as well, first duplicate the remembrance at a Wandering Mausoleum.

Skill

Thundercloud Form costs 28 FP. The wielder turns into a red thundercloud and surges through the air, shocking anything in the path with lightning, then plunges down in a lightning-infused stab. Holding the button extends the flight for more cloud hits before the plunge. The skill cannot be parried, and the Godfrey Icon does not boost it. It is exclusive to this weapon.

"Temporarily transform into a red thundercloud and fly through the air, then plunge down with a lightning-infused blade. Hold to increase the reach of the thundercloud form."

Suggested Build

A Dexterity thrusting weapon whose charged Thundercloud Form is the main burst, turned on dragons and lightning-weak foes.

Stats Dexterity to 60, then 80, Strength 18, Vigor 50, Mind 20, Endurance 24
Affinity Cannot be infused; it keeps its own scaling.
Talismans Godfrey Icon, Shard of Alexander, Lightning Scorpion Charm

Notes

"Piercing Gravel Stone sword containing primeval lightning. A portion of the Dragonlord's power, gained from a remembrance. This weapon commands great power over the paltry, mortal dragons of today."
