Knight Bernahl is a character in Elden Ring.
Knight Bernahl is a Tarnished knight who sells Ashes of War from the Warmaster's Shack in Stormhill. He asks whether the Tarnished still believes in grace now that the Golden Order has collapsed. He later joins the Volcano Manor as Recusant Bernahl and invites the Tarnished on a joint hunt. His road ends in Crumbling Farum Azula, where he fights the Tarnished one last time.
Lore
Bernahl is a Tarnished knight who later takes on the Beast Champion armor and the Devourer's Scepter as a recusant.
He once followed the guidance of grace, but he joined the recusants of the Volcano Manor to wage war on the Greater Will.
Bernahl hunted Tarnished in the capital with the Tarnished's help and later stood with them against the Godskin Duo. In the end he turned his blade on his former comrade in Crumbling Farum Azula.

Quest
The steps below follow Bernahl's questline from start to finish.
- Speak to Bernahl at the Warmaster's Shack to unlock his Ashes of War.
- Join the Volcano Manor to find him in the east wing as Recusant Bernahl.
- After the Rileigh the Idle contract, speak to him to receive the Letter to Bernahl.
- Use the invasion sign in the Fortified Manor of Leyndell to defeat Vargram the Raging Wolf and Errant Sorcerer Wilhelm alongside him.
- Return to him at the manor to receive Gelmir's Fury.
- Summon him against the Godskin Duo in Crumbling Farum Azula, if desired.
- Defeat him when he invades north of the Great Bridge in Crumbling Farum Azula.
