The Ashwood Stair costs two Ashwood and climbs two metres over a two-metre run, matching the storey height the rest of the Ashwood set is cut to. You build it from the Stairs & Ladders part of the build menu, and it is the cheapest way between floors without climbing a ladder or jumping.
How to Build It
Each flight costs two Ashwood and needs a Workbench in range. Start a run from the ground or from a floor that already has support, because stairs pass their load down like any other piece. Ashwood does not rot, so an outside flight up a tower skips the repairs a Wood one needs after every storm.
