Grausten stairs are the main flight of the Ashlands masonry set: broad, solid and deep enough to carry a full pack up without fumbling on a ladder. The Stairs and Ladders section lists them as a two by two run in grey Grausten, the stair to put in the middle of a hall where everyone will actually use it.
How to Build It
A flight costs eight Grausten, and a Stonecutter has to be in range to place or repair it. Stairs need something solid at the top as well as the bottom, so raise the upper floor or landing first and land the flight against finished stone. The material travels through a portal, so you can quarry it out in the Ashlands and leave the building until you are home.
