Frostner is the answer to a crypt full of Draugr, because silver is the one thing the dead have never learned to shrug off. Crafting it takes Mountain Silver, Swamp Ancient Bark and a purse of coins to buy Ymir Flesh from Haldor. It deals 35 blunt, 40 frost and 20 spirit. Its 95 total damage ranks 6th among clubs, so it is a step on the ladder rather than the top of it. That mix of blunt, frost and spirit damage hurts the Bat, Skeleton and Blob more than most things, and that is what you carry it for.
How to Craft
You craft it at a level 3 Forge from these materials:
- 10x Ancient Bark: chopped from Ancient Trees in the Swamp.
- 30x Silver: smelted from Silver Ore in a Smelter.
- 5x Ymir Flesh: bought from Haldor.
- 5x Freeze Gland: dropped by Drakes in the Mountain.

| Freeze Gland | Mountain | - | spawn FreezeGland

When to Use It
This is a mid-game weapon. Silver lies under the Mountain snow and you need a Wishbone to find it, so Frostner comes after Bonemass.
Upgrades
You can upgrade it 3 times after crafting, and each level needs the station built one step further up than the last. Every other figure on this page is for quality 1, so this table shows the ladder your own copy sits on:
| Quality | Crafting Station | Blunt | Frost | Spirit | Durability | Resources |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Forge (Level 3) | 35 | 40 | 20 | 200 |
|
| 2 | Forge (Level 4) | 35 | 46 | 20 | 250 |
|
| 3 | Forge (Level 5) | 35 | 52 | 20 | 300 |
|
| 4 | Forge (Level 6) | 35 | 58 | 20 | 350 |

Properties
It is the best crowd-control weapon in the game. It has very high knockback and 40 frost, and Frost slows movement and turn speed. A pack that gets knocked back and slowed reaches you one at a time instead of all at once.
It deals 3 damage types, and each behaves differently. The 35 blunt and 40 frost land instantly, while the 20 spirit is a ticking debuff that only hurts undead and demons. That is also why it staggers less than its 95 total suggests: only physical damage fills the stagger bar, so 2 thirds of the weapon's damage never adds to it.
Fight in water when you can. The Wet status makes a target weak to frost, so anything standing in a Swamp pool or wading after you takes noticeably more damage. Rain makes the player wet, but not creatures.
Notes
- The knockback works against you when you are trying to finish off one target, and it is worse in a group where someone else is mid-combo. Use the secondary attack for the kill instead of the primary.
- The frost aura on the head is only visual.
