The Ulfhedinn is a breed of Werewolf, one of the Cursed Ones. It is found mainly in Skellige.
Lore
"Ulfhedinn? What's that, some kind of fish?" asked Professor Artibus Joannes Rack, a geographer. He later vanished during a surveying trip to Skellige.
The harsh, barren isles may explain why ulfhedinn hunt mostly men. They may also explain why ulfhedinn are stronger than werewolves on the Continent. Older and especially dangerous ulfhedinn are called vorefs.
Only a few daring warriors in all of Skellige's history have ever beaten an ulfhedinn. Each of them is still honored as a hero in ballads.
Behaviour
Like werewolves, ulfhedinn and vorefs are active at night, most of all under a full moon. They are fast, strong and amazingly tough, and they kill with disturbing ease.
Weaknesses
Coat the silver sword with Cursed Oil. Igni works well against an ulfhedinn. Moon Dust and Devil's Puffball bombs help too.
Near death, an ulfhedinn becomes especially dangerous and attacks with double the fury. Stay on guard until the very last blow lands.
