Fader Relic is the boss drop from Fader, the Ashlands boss. Its purpose lies in the Deep North.
How to Get It
It drops only from Fader in the Ashlands, and he drops five relics on every kill. To reach the fight, you cross the burning sea by ship, find the summoning coliseum through a Vegvisir in a Charred Fortress, and hang three Bells around it. Each bell is assembled from three Bell Fragments looted from those same fortresses. Carry Fire Resistance Barley Wine and the best armour you own, because the ground between the shore and the altar is hostile the whole way. If you want more relics later, you need more bell fragments for a fresh set of bells.
What It Builds
One Fader Relic and 10 Stone at a Stonecutter build the Eternal Pyre. The pyre is a permanent structure that produces Embers on its own over time, and those Embers unlock the whole Deep North crafting loop:
- Combine Embers with Seal Pelts to craft Ember Charges.
- Throw Ember Charges at petrified Gammeltrolls to break them open and collect Petrified Tissue.
- Smelt the tissue into Bloodgold at a Blast Furnace.
- Bloodgold is the metal behind all Nord weapons and armour, and behind the Intricate Keys you need to push deeper into the biome.
You also need Embers for the Snow Shovel, which clears deep snow so you can build. At least one Eternal Pyre is essential: it is the one way to produce Embers, and the Deep North stays locked until you have them.
