Seed Poteitr grows Poteitr, a Deep North crop. Eaten raw, Poteitr gives 35 each of health, stamina and eitr. Cooked, it goes into Meatballs and Poteitr, Smoked Fish, Oven Pancakes, Baked Poteitr and the Northern Morning Fare feast. The seeds weigh 0.1 and stack to 100.

Farming

Seed Poteitr is planted as Poteitr, one seed to a plant, and takes 4,000 to 5,000 seconds to grow. Each grown plant gives three Poteitr and one or two seeds, so a bed keeps itself going, but only just. The plant needs tilled ground made with a Cultivator, half a metre of space around it and open sky. If a crop has too little room, too little sunlight or sits in the wrong biome, the problem shows next to its name and it will not grow. It grows in the Meadows, Black Forest, Plains and Ashlands but not in the Deep North itself, so the farm belongs at a southern base.

How to Get It

The only place to find the seeds is the granaries of the abandoned villages. A granary holds up to nine barrels, each one there one time in two, and each barrel holds one to ten seeds. Four times in five, a granary also has a Deep North chest on its first floor.

Because each plant returns one or two seeds for the one you planted, your stock grows slowly.

The Poteitr it grows goes into five dishes. Meatballs and Poteitr and Oven Pancake batter take two each, Smoked Fish and Unbaked Poteitr take one each, and the Northern Morning Fare feast takes five. Raw Poteitr gives 35 health, 35 stamina and 35 eitr for 15 minutes.
