Troll Hide is quiet enough to sneak in and thick enough to be worth wearing, a rare pairing this early, and it drops from the Trolls that stamp through the Black Forest.
How to Get It
Trolls wander the Black Forest at night and sleep in Troll Caves by day. Killing one takes no special tool, only a weapon and room to move. A bow and a tree line beat a shield here, since one club swing flattens an underequipped player and the swipe carries through walls. Hides also turn up as a bonus from Trollfish, caught off the Black Forest shore with Mossy Fishing Bait, which is itself made from a Troll Trophy at the Food Preparation Table.
