Fool on the Hill is a side job about the tarot card graffiti that V starts seeing across Night City after The Heist. The images are painted on walls, pillars and towers from Watson to the Badlands, and spotting the first one opens the job. Misty Olszewski, the spiritualist who runs Misty's Esoterica in Little China, wants to hear about every card V finds, and finding all twenty earns her dreamcatcher.
Story
Strange Images
The journal wonders whether the strange images are really out there, or whether the biochip has already turned V's brain into scop and salmon casserole. Either way, spotting these symbols in unexpected places feels like a mystery begging to be solved. The journal suggests a word with Viktor, or with "that chakra chick". At least one of them should be interested.
The Fool's Journey
Each card marks a place that matters in V's story, from the door of V's apartment to the balcony at the very end. Once V has found all twenty, Misty talks about the cards that are still missing, and about the Fool's Journey towards The World. To reach it, she says, there are four paths: The Sun, The Star, Temperance and The Devil. Each foreshadows one of the endings. V turns bitter and says V might just die instead, which foreshadows another ending. After the talk, Misty gives V her dreamcatcher.
