When to Use It

Late game. It is found around Crumbling Farum Azula, far enough in that it is an end-of-run weapon rather than something to build towards.

Why Players Pick It

's own summary is that it has, in their words, incredible Strength scaling and guarding capability relative to its class, reaching A Strength on Heavy at 301 physical, 164 stance damage standard rising to 180 on Heavy, and the class's top guard boost at 52 base. The price is that it is the heaviest weapon in the class at 16.5 and needs 25 Strength. It drops from Azula Beastmen at a 2% base rate.

Upgrades

Ordinary Smithing Stones carry it all the way to +25, and because it is not a Somber weapon it will also hold a grease or a weapon buff, which is a damage source the unique blades simply do not have.

Build

Its scaling runs Str at C, so Str is the stat worth levelling, and you need Str 25 and Dex 14 before you can lift it. Any Ash of War and any affinity will sit on it, so its scaling can be re-cut towards whichever stat you are already levelling.

Notes

Curved greatsword of colossal size forged of dull iron and wielded by the beastmen of Farum Azula. The blade is incredibly heavy, but well-balanced. Comparatively easy to wield for the damage it delivers. It's clear the beastmen possess knowledge beyond human ken.
