The Zamor Curved Sword is a Curved Greatsword in Elden Ring.
When to Use It
Late game. It is found around Mountaintops of the Giants, far enough in that it is an end-of-run weapon rather than something to build towards.
Why Players Pick It
The class's only frost weapon, 65 frostbite buildup, and the only Curved Greatsword whose light attacks differ from the shared class moveset. At 9 weight and 16 Str / 18 Dex it is one of the two cheapest weapons in the class to carry.
Upgrades
It takes Somber Smithing Stones rather than the common kind, one per level up to +10, and it keeps its own skill for good: no Ash of War will replace it and no affinity will re-cut its scaling.
Skill
Zamor Ice Storm costs 15 FP. Plunge the curved sword into the ground, building power before unleashing a freezing storm that batters the surroundings. It belongs to this weapon alone: no Ash of War will move it onto anything else, and nothing will replace it here.
Build
Its scaling runs Str at D and Dex at D, so Str and Dex are the stats worth levelling, and you need Str 16 and Dex 18 before you can lift it. Because the skill is its own, the build has to come to the weapon rather than the other way round. It also inflicts frostbite buildup (65) on its own, with no infusion needed.
Notes
Weapon wielded by the knights of Zamor who earned great renown during the War against the Giants. In apparent devotion to winter, the curved blade is styled after an icy wind and imbued with a powerful frost effect.
