The Freyja's Greatsword is a Curved Greatsword in Elden Ring. It carries the highest physical attack of any curved greatsword in the game.

When to Use It

Shadow of the Erdtree. It is found around Land of Shadow in the expansion, which opens only once Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood are beaten.

Why Players Pick It

Shadow of the Erdtree weapon with the class's highest physical damage at both ends: 146 at +0 and 357 at max standard. Its passive raises the damage of Redmane battle skills by 10%: Flame of the Redmanes, Lion's Claw, Savage Lion's Claw and Roaring Bash, and the buff applies even when the sword is only held in the offhand, which makes it a support item for a completely different weapon.

Upgrades

Ordinary Smithing Stones carry it all the way to +25, and because it is not a Somber weapon it will also hold a grease or a weapon buff, which is a damage source the unique blades simply do not have.

Build

Its scaling runs Str at C and Dex at E, so Str is the stat worth levelling, and you need Str 25 and Dex 14 before you can lift it. Any Ash of War and any affinity will sit on it, so its scaling can be re-cut towards whichever stat you are already levelling. It also strengthens Redmane skills on its own, with no infusion needed.

How to Get Freyja's Greatsword Guide

This weapon can be obtainable wherever Redmane Freyja dies.
If you gave her Freyja's Letter, you can find Freyja's Greatsword on her body after defeating her during the boss against Needle Knight Leda and her allies.
Otherwise, it can be found by the Storehouse, Seventh Floor Sites of Grace after defeating Leda and her allies.
