Jori, Elder Inquisitor is a dungeon boss in Elden Ring. It comes from the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
Jori, Elder Inquisitor is a senior hornsent inquisitor who guards the way into the Abyssal Woods. He waits at the bottom of the Darklight Catacombs, standing in a pool of water. He casts holy crescents from his barbed staff-spear and calls phantom inquisitors to his side. He must be defeated to enter the Abyssal Woods.
Lore
Jori is a horned inquisitor of the hornsent. He wields a greatstaff whose tip bristles with golden barbs, symbols of the inquisition's torture.
The hornsent inquisitors were tasked with torture and questioning. Jori holds greater power and authority than the rest and can summon phantom inquisitors at will. He guards the Abyssal Woods, where the forbidden Flame of Frenzy took hold. The inquisitors impaled Midra with the Greatsword of Damnation for breaking that law.

Attacks
- Homing holy crescents: his staff tip glows before several crescents home in. A dodge forward or behind cover avoids them.
- Golden Arcs: a slow swing that sends three crescents in a cone. A sideways or forward dodge avoids them.
- Giant Golden Arc: one huge crescent fired at the player. A well-timed roll through it avoids it.
- Staff-spear strikes: close-range thrusts with the barbed staff. These melee attacks can be parried.
- Phantom inquisitors: he summons spirit inquisitors to fight beside him.
Tactics
- Close the distance, because he casts spells most of the time at range.
- Use the environment to block his homing crescents.
- Parry his melee staff attacks.
- Summon the Mimic Tear Ashes or Demi-Human Swordsman Yosh to split his attention.
- Use slash and fire damage, and lightning, which the water in the arena strengthens.
- Use sleep, since he is susceptible to it.
