The Greatsword of Damnation is a Greatsword in Elden Ring. It comes from the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.

The Greatsword of Damnation is a golden greatsword that once pierced the body of Midra, master of the manse, used by the hornsent in an execution like no other, its barbs winding gently around the blade. It is obtained by trading Midra's remembrance with Finger Reader Enia at the Roundtable Hold. At 8 weight it is light for a greatsword, deals physical and holy damage, and shares the Claymore's thrusting heavy attacks. Its unique skill, Golden Crux, leaps up to skewer a foe from overhead and unfolds the barbs inside it on a hit, or releases barbs in the area with an extra input on a miss. The first hit of the skill counts as a critical hit, so it gains from critical damage boosts on human-type enemies.

It is traded for the Remembrance of the Lord of Frenzied Flame with Finger Reader Enia at the Roundtable Hold. The remembrance drops from Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame in Midra's Manse.

1. Defeat Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame in Midra's Manse to obtain the Remembrance of the Lord of Frenzied Flame.
2. Travel to the Roundtable Hold.
3. Talk to Finger Reader Enia and choose to exchange remembrances.
4. Select the Remembrance of the Lord of Frenzied Flame and choose the Greatsword of Damnation.
5. To take the other reward as well, first duplicate the remembrance at a Wandering Mausoleum.

Golden Crux costs 21 / 10 FP. The wielder leaps up and plunges the greatsword down onto the foe from overhead. Against players and human-shaped enemies a hit turns into a grab, with the weapon's golden barbs unfolding to tear the victim apart from within. If the grab does not connect, an additional input drives the blade deeper into the ground to release barbs across the surrounding area. The attacks deal mostly pierce damage with some holy damage. It is exclusive to this weapon.

"Leap up and skewer foe from overhead. If successful, the weapon's barbs unfold to excruciate from within; else, additional barbs in the area. There is something of the Golden Order in the sight of those fixed upon this crux."
