The Lamenting Visage is a Torch in Elden Ring. It has the highest physical attack of any torch in the game. It is one of the expansion's additions, found in the Land of Shadow.

The Lamenting Visage is a stone lantern carved as a lamenting human head, its vacant eyes beaming light, and its strange expression carries the ease of one who no longer needs sight. It lies on a corpse behind an illusory wall on the lower level of the Lamenter's Gaol, past a gate opened with the Gaol Lower Level Key. Raised in the left hand it lights more of the area and, unlike other torches, also blocks attacks and allows guard counters, though its defense is poor. It deals only physical damage with B Strength scaling, and Blindfold of Happiness covers the eyes and lets out a wail while making the wielder harder to detect. It suits a Strength character for stealthy passages such as the Abyssal Woods.

Found on a corpse within the Lamenter's Gaol behind an illusory wall and a gate needing the Gaol Lower Level Key to unlock.

Skill

Blindfold of Happiness costs 10 FP. The wielder swings the head while covering the eyes and lets out a wail of lamentation, then turns nearly invisible to enemies for 15 seconds, working much like the Unseen Form sorcery. Wearing Crepus's Vial or the Black Knife armor hides the visual effect while the invisibility still works. No other weapon carries this skill, and it cannot be replaced.

Carried in the off hand as a light source and stealth tool, using Blindfold of Happiness to slip past watchful enemies in places like the Abyssal Woods.
